On Tuesday 14 October 2025, a group of our KS3 students proudly represented the school at the GAT Futsal Festival, a dynamic and competitive event that brought together GAT schools and international visitors from Australia.

A First Taste of Futsal for Many

For many of our students, this was their first experience playing futsal, and they embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and determination. The boys' team faced a series of tough matches throughout the tournament. Despite not securing a win, they demonstrated resilience, perseverance, and strong teamwork in every game. Their positive attitude and commitment to learning the sport were commendable.

Girls Clinch Bronze with Impressive Performance

The girls' team delivered an outstanding performance, showing maturity beyond their years. They worked cohesively, combining well in attack and remaining defensively solid. Their efforts were rewarded with a bronze medal, a fantastic achievement that reflects their skill, focus, and teamwork.

Celebrating Individual Excellence

Two students were recognised as COPA Players of the Tournament:

  • Tamera, the youngest member of the girls’ team, impressed with her determination, composure, and consistent excellence throughout the day.
  • Derek, representing the boys, stood out with his performance in goal, making several crucial saves and showing great consistency under pressure.

A Day of Growth and Achievement

The GAT Futsal Festival was more than just a competition—it was an opportunity for our students to grow, challenge themselves, and represent the school with pride. We are incredibly proud of all the students who took part and look forward to seeing them continue to develop their skills in future events.

Well done, Team CoPA!
