Here at The City of Peterborough Academy, we run an extensive enrichment programme with a wide range of opportunities on offer

We pride ourselves on offering a range of competitive sports training and competition opportunities. We have a range of Football, Netball, Basketball, Rounders and Athletics teams that produce competitive teams in Peterborough Schools Competitions.

Our sports offer aims to be as inclusive as possible also offering recreational Sports opportunities for those students that wish to participate for fitness and enjoyment, including Badminton, Boxing and Fitness. 

In addition to this, our enrichment offer takes a whole school approach - we offer a variety of enrichment opportunities including:

• Science Club, here we encourage students to observe and attempt experiments
• Arts and Crafts
• The Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award
• Level 2 Sports Leaders Award
• Music and Band Practices 
• Poetry Masterclasses 
• Additional Languages support 

Our Dance, Drama and Music specialists offer a wide range of opportunities; 

Rehearsals are currently underway for our full school musical, this year we are proud to present the creepy, kooky and altogether spooky Addam’s Family!

As part of our ongoing partnership with the Royal Shakespeare company we will again be taking part in the Playmaking festival in July.  Last year’s production of King Lear was a fantastic success and even saw 6 of our students traveling to Stratford Upon Avon to take part in the National Playmakers festival, alongside students from around the country.  This year we will be taking on the famous comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  Auditions will take place after Christmas and will be open to all year group. Details of our performance will follow nearer the time.
