Year 9 Football Team Kick Off League Campaign with a 4–0 Victory

We are incredibly proud of our Year 9 football team, who began their league campaign in style with a commanding 4–0 win over Ken Stimpson.
From the first whistle, CoPA demonstrated strong defensive organisation and gradually grew into the game, creating chances and applying pressure. The breakthrough came in the 15th minute when Mamudu rose to meet a cross with a bullet header from the edge of the box, beating the on-rushing goalkeeper to make it 1 - 0.
CoPA continued to frustrate the opposition with disciplined defending and quick transitions. In the 25th minute, Rojendo found himself one-on-one with the keeper and calmly slotted the ball into the back of the net, doubling the lead.
The second half mirrored the first, with CoPA showing excellent teamwork and communication. In the 50th minute, Mamudu was brought down in the penalty area after a strong run forward. Rojendo stepped up and converted the penalty with composure, making it 3 - 0.
Substitute Kornel capped off the performance in the 58th minute, finishing confidently into the bottom corner to seal a well-deserved 4–0 victory.
🎖️ Man of the Match: Mamudu – for his outstanding contribution in both attack and defence.
This result reflects the dedication, teamwork, and spirit of our students. We look forward to seeing how the team progresses throughout the season.
Well done, COPA Year 9 – a fantastic start!
